Sizing Tips

Sizing Tips

We want to make sure you find the perfect fit for your child when buying Leo Kids, so we've come up with some tips for you to consider when shopping:

  • For most accurate measurements, do not measure over clothes.
  • CHEST: Measure around the fullest part of their chest, while the child is standing with their arms outstretched.
  • WAIST: Measure around the child's natural waist.
  • HIPS: Measure around the fullest part of the child hips and bottom.
  • HEIGHT: Measure from the top of the head to the ground, without shoes on.

For babies, the most important measurements for size are their height and weight. If you are unsure, we recommend buying one size up to ensure the item is comfortable and will last over the season.

Remember many clothing items have adjustable features around the waist. Please read the description on the products page, carefully. When possible, it will give specific details on the fit of the item.

We suggest 10-15mm extra room for growth in your child's shoes.

Finding the right shoe size for your child is not always easy. Fortunately, we have a solution for that. Follow our size guide before choosing your child's next pair of kids' shoes or sandals.

3 easy steps to find the right shoe size:

  1. Measure your child's feet Before you buy kids' shoes, it is important that you measure your child's feet so that you can find the right size. You can do this by downloading and printing our foot measurement (print at 100%), which your child can then step onto with bare feet. Using the ruler, you can read the length of the foot from heel to toe. Remember to measure both feet as there can be a difference in size. Alternatively, you can have your child stand on a piece of paper and draw around each foot, which you can then measure in the same way.
  2. Add growth allowance When you have measured the feet, remember to add the recommended allowance for growth on 1.5-2 cm. This is to make sure that your child has some room to grow. Add the growth allowance to the measurement of the feet to find the inner measurement of the shoe.
  3. Find the shoes that fits your child Now you are ready to start looking at shoes and sandals. You can look for the inner measurement on all the kids' shoes and find the shoes that fits your child just right.
